Chomp stores all data locally on your device. Nothing leaves your browser. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking.
When Chomp "eats" a tab, it stores the following in your browser's local IndexedDB database:
Chomp also stores your settings preferences (threshold, countdown duration, aggression level) in Chrome's local storage.
All data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB and Chrome's storage.local API. No data is transmitted to any external server, API, or third party. There is no cloud sync, no remote backup, and no server-side component.
Chomp requires the following Chrome permissions:
Archived tabs are stored indefinitely in your local IndexedDB until you manually delete them. You can delete individual entries from the Belly (archive) at any time. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data.
Chomp does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. The extension does not collect personal information from any user.
If we update this policy, we will update the date at the top. Since Chomp stores no data remotely, changes would only relate to new local features.
